Strong Days

On these strong days, I travel where my feet take me

Down the corridors of cement

To the hidden corners where I see the stray flowers

Beauty in the madness of a grey downtown

Where the wind takes me to an open field

To breathe in a moment of solitude and let my mind shut down

Where a stranger offers a smile of genuine gesture

On these strong days, I see the children play

Giggling at wonder and make-believe,

Where has all the time go?

On these strong days I sometimes stand alone

But yet, always surrounded by those I love
